Each microphone weighs only 5 grams, which is close to the weight of two coins, so it stays comfortable on clothes and remains almost hidden during use. This microphone uses AI noise cancellation powered by BOYA Intelligence. It is trained with more than 700,000 real noise samples and over 20,000 hours of testing data. The system can reduce noise from wind, keyboard sounds, clothing movement, traffic, machines, and other background sounds in real time. The AI noise cancellation offers two modes that can be turned on with one press. Light mode reduces noise up to -15 dB for natural background sound, while strong mode reduces noise up to -40 dB for loud places.

BOYA Mini 2 records audio at 48 kHz and 24-bit resolution, which is commonly used in studios. The wide 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response helps capture both low and high sound details clearly. An automatic low-cut filter removes unwanted low-frequency noise, and the included foam windshield helps block extra noise. The 80 dB signal-to-noise ratio keeps sound clean with very low background hiss, and the 120 dB SPL handling allows it to record soft speech and loud voices without distortion. An automatic limiter and a -12 dB safety track help prevent sudden sound peaks from ruining recordings.

The BOYA Central app allows full control from a phone, including 6-level gain adjustment, EQ settings, and firmware updates. Each transmitter works up to 6 hours on a single charge.
