The PowerDrive has 5 charging ports and as a result, you can charge 5 devices at the same time. Not only that, the charging speed is great with each port being able to deliver 2.4 Amps of charging. However, the max charging Output is 10A. This means that you can potentially connect 4 iPads to the PowerDrive 5 car charger and each of them will be able to charge at their max speeds of 5V/2.4A. Charging 4 iPads at the same time will place the Output at 9.6A, which is just at the edge of the Max charging Output. If you were to connect a 5th iPad to the car charger, then each of the ports would default down to 2 Amps, in order to equate to the max charging speed of 10A. Even when the charging speed is maxed out, 2 Amps per port will still be able to charge tablets relatively quickly and will most definitely be enough power to charge smartphones near or at their max speed.
